We perform multiple forms of qualitative and quantitative research. This research includes surveys, quantitative analysis, ethnographic and literature reviews. This is a fabulous time to be in healthcare. There is so much to examine in the healthcare industry it almost makes us giddy. We take this research and create reports for our primary research and create summaries of the literature and articles reviewed for our secondary research. Most of our secondary research comments can be viewed in our blog section. Below are links to our primary research.

State of Population Health Analytics (2017 Study)

Since 2014, the Healthcare Center of Excellence (HCOE) has been tracking the healthcare industry’s progress towards population health analytics using their proprietary Healthcare Transformation Change Model. This model was developed in 2013 to help healthcare organizations understand the requirements to become a data-enabled healthcare organization. The concepts were based on a Gartner recognized model Professor Bennett previously co-developed.

Challenges to Implementing Healthcare Analytics (2015 Study)

A study was conducted during a workshop at the Healthcare Analytics Symposium held in Chicago in July to determine what the participants perceived were the top challenges they faced in implementing analytics at their healthcare organization. While the challenges facing healthcare analytics implementation may not surprise anyone, the ranking of the challenges might receive some unexpected attention. Process – The Neglected Continuum (2014 Study)

The study took place at a multi-hospital system in suburban Chicago. The system has about 1,000 physicians on staff and with privileges. The goal was to understand the challenges to physician engagements during implementation of a computerized physician order entry system. The EHR system was one of the top solutions but not the leading solution. This minimized any ‘halo effect’ from physicians’ acceptance just because it was the leading solution. You can purchase a copy of the 5-page formal research report below.
